I believe that people strive for health and happiness, and I base my therapeutic outlook on that belief in the goodness and power of people to change their own lives. I appreciate the opportunity to be your guide through this process of making life changes. The most important part of our work is you, and what you want to be your areas of growth and change.
With that in mind, my therapeutic approach is integrative and collaborative. I work with you to figure out what you need and want from therapy, and we go from there, together. I use a variety of interventions, based on what you and I decide you want to work on, and how we want to work on these goals, with a foundation in emotion-focused process work and behavioral interventions, but with a little help from Zen and creative approaches as well.
I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Santa Clara University, and have training in trauma, cultural competency, and interpersonal violence and trauma.
